In 2022, he was the Group Director of Security in Qatar for the FIFA World Cup “ The Living Adventure” accommodation project. This project managed 65,000 rooms spread across 524 locations in the city of Doha, Mark was responsible for the Welfare, Safety & Security of over 500 buildings, 13,000 staff and 1.2 million guests.
During the Covid pandemic he formed part of the Senior Management on call rota that managed the risk and issues across all 72 UK quarantine hotels, liaising directly with Government officials and other senior stakeholders. Whilst on call and during peak quarantine periods, was the initial point of contact for the safety and welfare of over 20,000 guests within the quarantine programme.
He is a graduate of the prestigious FBI National Academy & a member of the Security Institute.
Jon Thursfield (MSyI)
Jon is a former police leader with policing expertise in Emergency Planning, Resilience and Public Order policing.
Following retirement, Jon became Safety and Security manager for a topflight football club with responsibility for matchday safety and day to day security within the club. He has extensive experience of writing policies and procedures. During the COVID pandemic, Jon was instrumental in adapting the clubs’ policies, at pace, to ensure competitive football could return safely both with and without spectators.
Jon is qualified to NVQ Level 4 in Spectator Safety Management and QNUK Level 5 in Crowd Safety Management and has extensive multi agency working experience.
In 2022, he was the Assistant Group Director of Security for the World Global Sporting Event in Qatar “The Living Adventure” accommodation project. This project managed 65,000 rooms spread across 524 locations in the city of Doha, Jon supported the delivery of the Welfare, Safety & Security of over 500 buildings, 13,000 staff and 1.2 million guests.
Jon created and delivered numerous tabletop exercises to train and develop Senior Colleagues across numerous sectors in crisis management utilising his experience from his numerous policing and security roles.

Andy heads up our Anti-Climb Survey Team of climbing and rope access professionals. He is himself, a Rock-Climbing Instructor, International Mountain Leader, and Director of Mountain Training Wales and uses his security and policing background in conjunction with his climbing skills to provide a unique approach to identifying building vulnerability.
He is an experienced trainer and holds the Level 3 Award in Education and Training.
Steve is a member of the Security Institute and former Police Leader with extensive experience in Counter Terrorism, Public Order and Operational Policing.
Throughout his policing career he led high profile policing operations and undertook a range of borough and force level leadership roles focused on Incident Response, Local Policing Service Delivery, Public Order, and Counter Terrorism.
He is a qualified Counter Terrorism Security Co-Ordinator. Since retirement he has specialised as a Security Consultant offering advice on Counter Terrorism, Security Surveys and Business Transformation.
In 2022, he successfully completed an Advanced Diploma NVQ Level 6 in Counter Terrorism Risk Management through the University of Cumbia and Storm Events Ltd.
Since leaving the Metropolitan Police Service in 2022, Stuart has created a business in asset protection for ultra-high net worth individuals. His client’s include High Net Worth Individuals, music stars, actors, football and sport personalities.
The services Stuart extends relate specifically to physical protection of rare and precious metals, fine art and antiques, classic and super cars, watch collections, haute couture collections as well as any other personal items of value to the client. In addition, Stuart is approved and regulated by the financial conduct authority to correctly register assets and act on behalf of insurance agents.
Stuart ensures that layers of physical and protective security are adequately placed to protect valuable estates, resources, holdings and valuables by using a holistic approach to physical security as well as utilising a full range of technical equipment that not only provides security protection but monitors the area against atmospheric conditions such as humidity and ultraviolet rays, fire and flood.
Paul is a highly experienced security professional, currently a senior leader in the fight against the small boat crossings, carrying illegal immigrants to the UK shores. He is a skilled in risk assessment and gap analysis concerning threats to people and property. Paul has worked on Foreign and Commonwealth Office missions overseas as an advisor to senior government figures and was the operational lead in national defence planning against terrorists attacks. Paul was the full time Counter Terrorism Liaison Officer appointed to UK Special Forces from 2011 - 2017. This included refining both the maritime and land-based security postures.
Gareth is a former senior police officers with three decades of service in the police. He has experience in leadership, mentoring, development and operational investigation, and has a track record in large-scale policing and security operations; team building and motivation.
Gareth led the force’s Major Crime Investigation Team, heading homicide investigations as Senior Investigating Officer (SIO) and was accredited by the College of Policing to lead on the investigation of these crimes as well as counter terrorism cases and disaster victim identification.
Gareth spent time in the regional detective training school leading on design and delivery for the Serious and Organised Crime and Police Act 2005.
Gareth was accepted as a subject matter expert of the College of Policing and commissioned to undertake a review of the Ofsted Unregistered Schools Team. He is an academic lead on mind set and decision-making. He is a lecturer in Criminology at the University of South Wales, where he teaches undergraduate and master’s students.
Gareth has worked at Glastonbury Festivals in a variety of roles forming part of the command structure as Silver Security Controller. This role entails the ‘on the ground’ management, deployment and coordination of all 12 security companies employed by the festival in order to deliver a safe, effective and enjoyable event for all concerned including the 200,000 attendees.
In 2019, Gareth was awarded ‘Visiting Fellow’ in recognition of his professional experience and knowledge and the academic support. Gareth completed his Masters’ degree in Criminology and Criminal Psychology.
